As a Person Centred counsellor, I am non-directive and non-analytical
in my approach. Our work together may help you:

  • Increase your self-awareness, and gain a deeper understanding of issues.
  • Come to terms with past experiences, thus helping you move forward in your life.
  • Become empowered to make choices and changes for the present and the future.
  • Successful counselling depends greatly on the relationship that can develop between
counsellor and client.Providing a safe, non-judgemental and confidential
environment helps this process to occur.

Experience and Training
My first training commenced in 1998, and the foundation to all of my work, was in the Person-Centred Approach, which is a humanistic model and a way of working, offering you empathic understanding in a non-judgemental way, and of supporting you whilst helping you to move forward in your life. Since then I have received further training in CBT, EMDR & Cancer Counselling training. Whilst working in an NHS GP practice in 2002 I became interested in working with illness related issues and went on to work as Team Facilitator at a Hospice, during which time I developed a passion for understanding Cancer related issues, and all life threatening illnesses.Over the last 10 years I have gone on to develop a large and thriving private practice.
